My name is Dau Thi Thu. I'm a 11th grade student of Pham Van Dong High School. As a student studying at the school, I am very proud and honored to know that our school has excellently been awarded the A prize for the keeping surroundings green, clean and beautifully organized by Gia Lai People’ Council. I am even happier when I can represent all of students here to share my own feelings.

Pham Van Dong High School was established in 2003 in Tan Lap Hamlet, IaSao Commune, IaGrai District, Gia Lai Province. Although it has been established for over 17 years, our school has achieved many remarkable achievements thanks to the efforts of the administrators, teachers, staff and generations of students. This school is like a second home where we all learn and play together. In order to get better academic performances, we must work together to build a highly effective learning environment.Early realizing the importance of this, the school administrators have worked out many plans that are beneficial to the environment.
First of all, to keep the school clean and green, many kinds of tress planted around school, specially they were planted in 2 rows which makes the surroundings more attractive. This will creat a fresher atmosphere and bring more beautiful scenery to our school. There is a medicinal garden with more than 60 species of rare plants, which makes a great contribution to the biodiversity conservation. Besides, our school keeper is very hard-working, he often spends whole day taking a good care of the garden, keep the school yard, classrooms, campus clean and tidy.

There is a saying that goes: "cleanliness is next to godliness". Understand this, our head teacher always raises students’ awareness of the importance of environment to the quality of teaching. Many trash bins are also placed around the schoolyard in order that students can put the rubbish in.
Moreover, all classrooms in our school are carefully planned before they are decorated with many beautiful pictures, meaningful idioms. The decorations take place annually in November because this is the time when every students is eager and excited to prepare for a special day – Vietnamese Teacher’ Day.

To make an informal school, active students, each teacher in our school is a good example for students to follow. The head teacher always reminds that we need to be careful with your words and your actions in any situations when we communicate with others. He also gives the behavior rules in order that students in our school could understand the value of words.
Although our school is not a very big school, it stands in a village which is very poor and disadvantaged. I think every students who studied in, who has been studying in are always proud of it. They hope that one day they will come back and say thanks to the teachers who taught them, gave them many experiences in order that they could grow up, they could overcome the difficulties in their lives.
